He oranga ngākau, he pikinga waiora
This whakataukī emphasises the power of the heart, mind and soul in supporting our emotional, spiritual, physical, psychological and whānau wellbeing.
Kia ora koutou - nau mai haere mai ki Manawa Psychology!
Our passionate team is made up of Alex Richards (Clinical Psychologist) and Taryn Lewis (Child and Family Psychologist). Our services include therapeutic assessment and intervention, ACC sensitive claim work and clinical supervision.
We help tamariki (children), taiohi (youth), pakeke (adults) and whānau (families) develop insight into ways of thinking, feeling and behaving that may be preventing them from living to their potential. We foster hope, and help to provide the tools to encourage change and growth.
Manawa means the heart - the seat of emotions and source of compassion, aroha, and acceptance. Manawa signifies our intentions as a team and our commitment to working in way that is welcoming, warm and engaging – where people feel safe to connect and tell their story.
We typically see people at our offices, although in some cases home visits can be arranged by agreement.
